Lodging Options Suit Any Taste
Delta Shores features a variety of comfortable lodging options ranging from cozy lakefront cottages to spacious multi-bedroom vacation homes.
Lakefront Cottages
Our adorable lakefront cottages are the perfect love nests for couples who want to get away from it all. These cozy one and two bedroom cottages are so close to the water, you could practically fish from your bed. With stunning views and easy access to the lake, you can spend your days swimming, paddling or just canoodling on the shore. Most cottages come with a full kitchen (so you can cook for your sweetheart), a fireplace (for those chilly nights), a double whirlpool tub (hubba hubba) and screened-in porches where you can watch the sunrise while sipping your morning joe.
Vacation Homes
If you’re rolling deep with your crew, our two-to-five bedroom vacation homes have plenty of room for everyone to spread out and chill. These cribs come fully loaded with everything you need for your stay, including a kitchen with all the gadgets and gizmos to cook up your daily catch. Get your game on in the great room by the fire or show off your grill skills on the outdoor patio with a killer lake view. With multiple bathrooms (no more waiting in line!), screened-in porches and cozy bedrooms, these homes have space for the whole squad to crash in style.
On-Site Amenities Offer Something for All Ages
In addition to the comfortable lodging, Delta Shores also offers fantastic amenities right on the resort grounds. Our guests love taking advantage of everything our resort has to offer without ever having to leave.
Marina & Watercraft Rentals
Our full-service marina provides everything you need for days full of fishing, watersports or just relaxing on the lake. Rent a variety of watercraft by the hour or day, including pontoon boats, jet skis, kayaks, canoes and more. The marina also offers fishing boat rentals – fully equipped with rods, bait, tackle boxes and more. Don’t have your own watercraft? No problem!
Outdoor Pool Area
When the Texas heat is melting your face off, take a dip in our giant outdoor pool surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas. The little ones will have a blast with the interactive water features, while the grown-ups can sip on fancy drinks from the Tiki Bar just a hop, skip and a jump away. If you’re starting to feel like a lobster, make your way to the poolside patio decked out with rocking chairs for an afternoon snooze in the shade. And if you’re looking for a little extra privacy to unwind with your crew, rent a cabana and pretend you’re on your own private island.
Onsite Dining
After working up an appetite with a full day of activities on the lake, enjoy mouthwatering dishes at our waterfront restaurant and bar, The Shoreline. Featuring an outdoor patio overlooking the marina, The Shoreline serves up locally-sourced seafood, aged steaks, handcrafted cocktails and an extensive wine list. Guests rave over favorites like the jalapeño bacon wrapped shrimp, cedar plank salmon topped with a bourbon glaze and the dessert lineup starring our housemade mile-high key lime pie. With live music every Friday and Saturday night during the summer, The Shoreline is the perfect place to kick back after a long day on the lake.
Nearby Attractions & Activities for All Interests
While our resort amenities will keep you occupied for days, the surrounding area also offers fantastic attractions if you do decide to venture off property during your vacation. Historical sites, charming towns, wineries, golf courses, state parks and more – find out what makes the Lake Tanglewood area such a popular year-round getaway.
Wineries & Tastings
Just a short drive away lie numerous wineries offering tastings and tours through the vineyards. Many source their grapes from local Texas vineyards. Favorites include Angel Springs Winery, known for it’s Cabernet Franc Reserve and scenic pergola views and Blue Lake Winery, which uses no pesticides or chemicals in it’s award-winning wine production. Several wineries regularly host special events like live music nights and food/wine pairing dinners.
Golf Courses
With half a dozen highly-ranked golf courses within a short drive, enthusiasts can get their fill of the sport. Play a round amidst the tall pines at Pine Dunes Country Club or soak in panoramic lake views with every hole at Lakeview Golf Resort & Spa’s championship course. Designed by renowned golf architects like Jay Morrish and Tom Fazio, area courses challenge players at every skill level.
Historic Downtown Gladewater
For some small town charm, check out Gladewater’s downtown district – centered around it’s history in the oil boom era of the early 1900s. Peruse the antique and specialty shops housed in historic early 20th-century buildings. Stop for a burger and shake at the old-fashioned diner or visit the free Oil Museum to learn how black gold built this Texas town. Don’t miss the life-size statues of Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe!
Lake Tanglewood State Park
Nature lovers revel in the hiking trails, sandy beaches and bountiful wildlife at this peaceful state park set on the shores of the lake near our resort. Paddle along the shoreline in search of beautiful wildflowers and water lilies in the small coves tucked away from motorized boats. Book a guided horseback trail ride through the tall pines and across open meadows filled with bluebonnets in the spring. And don’t miss the park’s star gazing nights – offering some of the best views of the Milky Way Galaxy.
Family Fun Off Property
While we offer plenty of family fun at the resort, the area also boasts some fantastic attractions for kids and adults alike nearby. Edom Fest celebrates the tiny town’s agricultural roots with tractor and grease pig races, pie eating contests and the annual Edom Egg Drop engineering competition. Just up the road in Canton, the First Monday Trade Days overflow with vendors and good old-fashioned people watching at the monthly outdoor flea market. And for some big city excitement, it’s just an hour’s drive to downtown Dallas restaurants, museums, concerts and professional sports.

Our Lakeside Event Center seats up to 300 guests, perfect for mid-sized conferences and meetings. Floor to ceiling windows provide ample natural light and impressive views of the lake.
